We are searching for highly qualified Network Technician with strong technical and communication skills to support our client on Randolph AFB.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Must have at least six (6) years of Network Administration experience.
Must have at least six (6) years of combined experience with Network Implementation, Cybersecurity, Reliability and Modernization.
Experience working with firewalls, DNS, VPN, dynamic multipoint virtual private network (DMVPN), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), LAN, WLAN Cisco products, (including but not limited to Cisco Integrated Series Routers, Cisco Digital Network Architecture (Cisco DNA), Cisco IOS), SteelHead WAN Optimizers and Windows servers for load balancing, functionality, security, performance, patches, outages, redundancy, implementations and scalability.
Demonstrated knowledge in Wide Area Network (WAN), Local Area Network (LAN), architectural design concepts, and troubleshooting methodologies.
4.10.1.1.1.5 Experience utilizing monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, and Wire Shark potential risk or upcoming issues.
Must possess a CompTIA Security+ CE (or higher)
Must possess a CCNA (or higher)
Must be a US Citizen eligible to OBTAIN a DoD Secret Clearance.
Job Duties:
Conduct daily administration of AFRS network hardware to include switches, firewall and routers.
Plan, coordinate, and install applications software and hardware for operating systems.
Administers and maintain assigned systems.
Develops, reviews, and modifies changes to the schedule of operations for successful day-to-day operations.
Optimizes the functionality and performance of hardware and software systems and ensures availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers.
Identifies system problems that are of an unusual or complex nature and develops corrective action.
Aid in the formulation of feasibility studies on to develop or modify information
systems to meet user networks and/or telecommunication requirements. Advise AFRS leadership on cost, time and effort requirements associated with cyber communication requirements.
